I got orange broadband with a livebox, i wanted to run smoothwall behind my livebox meaning i had to put the livebox into bridging mode, to do this i need to get into the telnet console. Uh-oh the ship it without telnet dont they.... So i tried reflashing it and cracking the firmware on more…

So far my latests issue has generated 187 pages of computer-gereated clap trap.
The two promises of phone calls at specific times have not come ( maybe their phone is off) .
Simple question: which is the best operator to switch to - local and international phone and broadband?
Thanks, MS more…

Orange is my mobile carrier. Imagine walking in the middle of the city talking on the phone and then the signal is down. How can this be? If I was on top of a mountain this could have been possible, but not right near an antenna!

When I complained to orange about loss of business, they told me to read their Terms of Service, then hung up....
You'll get nothing out of them.
Best thing to do is to "catalogue" all your complaints, those sent by phone, and especially written ones sent to Rotherham.
Then contact the ispa, and keep on complaining. more…

Yes. The instant garden, with the plants that do not grow or need care. I FEEL it in the neighborhood that people do not understand how a garden is a process. I am ashamed to admit that I beginning to wish I COULD hire someone to bring in huge plants, with the ultimate design, too. Just in the front yard. In the back, it's for my eyes only. I more…

I know what you mean. The poor bloke in India has not got any idea what the problem is, because I doubt if he even has a computer let alone broadband. He is going through the script, and of course, you are paying for this call.
I really feel that they should stick to what they know. We had to go Orange as we were Wanadoo. But who kno more…

I've had a number of flavoured vodkas, but never made my own. Like you, perhaps I should. Sloe Gin is about as adventurous as I've been thus far, spirits wise. I'll certainly give the mulberry gin a go though. :) more…

I can recommend it. Mulberry gin is a wonderfully warming drink. I tried mulberry vodka as well, because flavoured vodkas are quite a big thing, but it wasn't as good. In Italy they have flavoured grappas - maybe I'll try mulberry grappa next time. more…

I'm going to have to try your Mulberry Gin recipe: there's a tree at work that is always loaded with fruit every summer, most of which just falls and rots on the ground. We've made jam of course and bottled the fruit for pie fillings etc. but not thought of converting some to flavoured gin. more…

Hello
I had a nice flower on my yukka plant this year:)
Mr flighty suggested you might be able to help me with a query on one of my posts entitled "A hat and a crutch"
I took a photo of a plant in spain and was wondering what its "accessories" were?

I don't mean to do them down, there are some really nice people at my farmers' market - the veg couple and the egg man are great, but others go for a very affluent customer, and I aint it! more…

I had a garden when I was a kid - a patch round the back of the house - and loved it. I planted guinea pig food and got a crop of corn and felt pretty pleased with myself. I'll blog on my efforts to get my own kids interested in a bit more…

The accidental came in because I was working on my own garden one day - if you scroll down the previous blogs you'll see a short bit about exactly how - and a neighbour asked me to work on hers. I did and found I could make money at something that had been a hobby for 20 years. So that's what I'm doing - in an accidental sort of a way!

Somehow I know this client won't get a lawn from seed - when I left she was staring at it, and that's bound to put it off!
I'm not so much a landscaper, more a jobbing gardener. I much prefer choosing a planting scheme than building a patio, but I'm beginning to realise that it's the hard landscaping that brings in the money. more…

OH so you are a landscaper of sorts, I used to teach horticulture in Sydney, oh and you are in australia, that is what I get for not reading the obvious.
I like your client, maybe her lawnseed just might get taken by finches, or sparrows, she may not get a lawn, I prefer turf, however you probably do also.....

Hi
So how come you are an accidental gardener, I guess you could say I became an accidental gardener as well, that is if my mind thinks like yours, that is.

We were after a rescued cat but we got blacklisted by the rescue centre because, they say, the road we live on is too busy. They also say you have to keep their cats in at night. Now, call me old fashioned, but I always thought cats were nocturnal. Certainly Luigi wouldn't have allowed us to lock him in at night!
Hope to put some pictures up more…
